March 2018

Greetings, Quilters!

Isn’t it fabulous to have more sunlight and even see green shoots popping up here and there! Having winter in the rear view mirror is so restorative to my creative spirit!! If you have the opportunity, do search out photos online from the recent Quilt Con 2018 which was held in Pasadena at the end of February. So much inspiration! The modern quilt movement is going strong and drawing in younger quilters. Susan Therriault is looking into what the interest level is for adding a mini-group focused on Modern Quilting, stay tuned for more information on that. And, “Thank you!” to Sue!

As you check in at the Members’ Table for the March meeting, you’ll receive a colored paper “Flag” for the purpose of voting on whether to increase our annual dues from $24 to $30. You must have the paper Flag to vote. Only members in good standing will be able to have their votes counted.

I’m excited to welcome back Beth Helfter as our guest speaker in March. This will be Beth’s third appearance at Cornerstone Quilters. She has a lively sense of humor and I know everyone will enjoy her!

Till then— Happy Spring and Happy Quilting.

Susan Burns, President
