Modern Quilt Group Meeting October 12 2019

What a great meeting we had last Saturday.  We began with a Show and Tell, with nearly everyone showing and sharing their challenges and other projects that they’ve been working on.  Lots of good ideas for future projects!  The challenge was fall colors and negative space.  Large and small items were presented.  It’s amazing how differently we all interpret fall colors!

After getting our juices flowing, Monique demonstrated a technique that she had discovered on pinterest.  Entitled Swirls of Scraps by Melissa McGill, Monique created a unique wallhanging that stretches our creativity and color sense.  Check it out on pinterest!

Our next meeting will be on Saturday, January 25th, from noon to 2 pm at the Community Room at the Charlton Library.  It will follow the board meeting held that morning from 10 – 12.

Our featured demonstrator will be Susan Burns, who has become quite adept at facing her quilted items rather than binding them – So Modern!

Our challenge will be “Lunar.”

That’s it for now.  I’ll send out a reminder in mid-January.

Thanks. – Sue T.
